Plan to mount it at the base of your rack, because even with batteries out, you will not lift this very far unless you are an atypical geek who can bench press more than your own weight. The face plate adjusts to the horizontal mode really easily. All this said, it works really well once installed. Mine is running a storage array, three servers, all the network gear, the security system, the backup disks, several other bits of junk, and a big KVM/Monitor switch to manage all the devices in the rack, and just has one load LED lit.
